Our Story

In the words of Abraham Lincoln, "The strength of a nation lies in the homes of its people." Savannah residents have been finding their homes with the strength of Konter Realty for over 47 years.

Founded by the late Larry and Harriet Konter in a small two room downtown office in 1961, Konter has grown with Savannah. Since the 60's, as each new subdivision was built, as each new apartment complex was planned, Konter Realty was there to serve Savannah's housing needs.

Harriet Konter is a graduate of the University of Georgia and holds the professional designations of G.R.I., C.R.B. and Leadership Training Graduate. A past president of the Savannah Board of Realtors and former Realtor of the Year, she was the first woman in Georgia to serve as President of the Georgia Association of Realtors. In addition Harriet was a past Director of the National Association of Realtors.

A company is known by the ethical standards to which it adheres, by the completeness of the service it offers, by its customers, for the reputation it has earned over decades. So is Konter known as one of Savannah's oldest and most trusted real estate companies.
